Life......

Blake has been on antibiotics for 5 days for ear infections and he was a mess when I picked him up from daycare.  We went straight over to the clinic.  He has never been so hysterical to the point where I couldn't calm him down.  He was getting a rash all over his body & I was scared he was allergic to the antibiotics.  2 long hours later we found out he doesn't have Influenza A or B or RSV.  He did however have ear infections in both ears that did not only get better with the antibiotic, but worse and lots of bubbles.  He also had strep and the scarlet fever rash to go with it.  I cried.  It had been a long, tough day anyway and this just topped it.

We got new antibiotics and gave him Tylenol but getting him to be last night was rough.  I sat in the recliner with him.  As he slept peacefully on my chest I thought two things.  I would have done anything to take all the pain away from him and give it to me, and that there is no place in the world I would rather be than right there with my baby boy.

I know we are blessed for having healthy kids, but those kind of things put your life into perspective.  I am so truly blessed and am one of the luckiest girls in the world!  Who cares that we don't have fancy clothes or a huge house with brand new everything.  Who cares if we don't go on big vacations and spend lots of money.  We have each other.  We have family we would do anything for.  We have REAL friends that stand by us no matter what and we have fun with.  Yep, that's all I need.

So here I sit listening to the silence over the monitor knowing Blake is getting some much needed sleep..  I built a fort for the boys which has now turned into the American Pickers Van.  Have you ever seen that show?  Apparently they have to many times!  Cole is Mike and Hunter is...Uncle Aaron.  Cole just sold a picture to Cole.  Cole started out at $40 but Hunter got him down to $5.  Then they had to shake on it.  Cole wrote the info down to show everyone just like they did on the show.  Bahahah!
