We've been doing Halloween activities for the past week. Cole brought home a gord and a pumpkin which the boys painted. Hunter spent about 30 minutes painting the little gord and I'm pretty sure it had 2 inches of paint all over it!
Their Aunt Jolene & Uncle Kenny sent a box of fun stuff, books (YAY), fun glasses & a tie-dye kit!
My parents sent Halloween goodies. The boys loved their cowboy boots and hats that they got to decorate with stickers. And Blake loved his froggie toy!
Cole spent the day celebrating at school. All their academic activities revolved around pumpkins and Halloween. The kids were able to bring a Halloween movie to watch at school & the kids voted on which one they wanted to watch. Cole took It's a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. His movie got 12 votes and the other girls got 4 votes. Yay for incorporating math into it! They were able to put on their costumes and parade around the school!
Hunter and Blake were at Shannon (the child care provider)'s house! They ate green worms and drank bat blood for lunch. I hear the boys couldn't stop giggling about it. Then, bless her heart, she got all the kids dressed in their costumes for a little party! There are 7 boys that go to daycare there. Hunter and Blake, a set of 3 year old twins, an almost two year old (from the same family) and 2 of her own kids who are 3 and 7 months. They had lots of fun!
We started out our night in Newcastle at Beau's Grandmas house. We went around town in Newcastle. Cole kept trying to go into peoples houses :) And Hunter refused to talk to anyone. We went up to a house where 2 guys were sitting outside in masks. Poor Hunter took off running at full speed away from them :) He's so shy that this really wasn't his cup of tea. Blake rode in the stroller content. We also went to Maskell & then stopped at Nana Vera's before we headed home. The boys got a movie and more candy!
